Steve Novick was born in 1966 in Worcester, Massachusetts. He earned a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 1988, and an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1991. Novick has exhibited his work in solo shows in Boston, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, and Connecticut. He has participated in group shows in New York, Boston, Philadelphia, and Montreal. Novick's work has been reviewed in the New York Sun, the Newark Star-Ledger, and the Boston Globe. A recipient of Pollock-Krasner and Massachusetts Cultural Council grants, Novick is a Professor of Art and Design at New England School of Art and Design, Suffolk University.
