Jovan Karlo Villalba (b.1977. Quito, Ecuador) was raised in Miami, Florida. He is an alumnus of New World School of the Arts. Upon graduation, he was awarded a full-tuition scholarship to attend the Cooper Union, School of Art in New York City. Soon after graduating from Cooper, he acquired an art studio in the Chelsea Art District in New York City. Since then, Villalba has exhibited his work at museums, galleries, and art institutions across the United States including at solo shows in Los Angeles, Miami and New York City. Recently, his work was featured in biennial exhibitions at the Queens Museum of Art in New York City, and the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood.
