Cody VanderKaay (b. 1977 Detroit, Michigan) received his MFA from the Lamar Dodd School of Art, and his BFA from Northern Michigan University. At both institutions he balanced his training as a sculptor with the self-taught role of a draftsman. VanderKaay is an Assistant Professor of Art and the Director of Studio Art at Oakland University.
