Lars Strandh (1961) was born in Sweden, and is living in Oslo, Norway since 1984. Art studies at the Nation Academy of Fine Arts, Oslo, 1992-97. Since then Lars Strandh have had 25 soloshows and participated in more than fifty groupshows in well-reputed galleries and museums in Scandinavia, Germany, USA, Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. Lars Strandh has received several grants and was in 2007 awarded with The Norwegian Government Guaranteed Income for Artists. He is represented in larger collections such as The Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norway, The Norwegian Culture-Council, The National Foundation for Public Commissioned Arts, Norway, STATOIL, The Swedish Art-Council, and Forum Konkrete Kunst, Erfurt, Germany among others. Lars Strandh’s reductive canvases are appreciated both for their formal aspects as well as for their luminosity and abstract qualities.
