Karin Campbell, best known for her performances, is an artist working with painting, photography, video and performance to explore confrontations of our interior spaces with an outside world. Karin has performed and exhibited at many venues in and around New York City: the performance "When I Close My Eyes", was part of the Whitney Biennial 2002, and was also presented at PS1 MOMA in Queens.
Karin Campbell split her childhood between southern Indiana and London, England. She studied at, as well as being the recipient of grants from, The Rhode Island School of Design (BFA), Tyler School of Art (MFA) and the Skowegan School of Painting and Sculpture. She has been the recipient of grants from the Public Art Fund and the Wanas Foundation in Sweden. Karin currently lives and works in Brooklyn New York. |
