The White Columns Curated Artist Registry is an online catalog of digital images documenting the work of artists who are not affiliated with a commercial gallery in New York City. Each submission is reviewed by our curatorial staff; in order to be considered for the registry, one must submit work digitally via this website.

To submit your work, please follow the instructions below. We do NOT review CD ROMS or websites. We will only review those images that are uploaded from this site. You may submit up to 15 images, a bio, and an artist statement. Please enter an active email address to register. If you have any questions you may email info@whitecolumns.org. Please note that due to the volume of emails you receive, you may not receive a reply for a few days.

To register please fill out all the requested information.

NOTE: Street address and zip codes are not required to register.

NOTE: If you do not want your street address or zip code posted in your contact information online please do not fill in these fields, they are not required.

Once you have registered you will be asked to log in.

Log in with your newly generated user name (your email address) and your password. (Please use an active email address that you check frequently. White Columns will use this email to correspond with you and it will also be available online for people to contact you regarding your artwork (if you are accepted into the registry.)

Once you have logged in you will be able to begin uploading images.

In the menu of options on the left side of the screen, select "add image" and this will prompt you to begin selecting images. The images will be automatically formatted, however the maximum image size is: 447 pixels wide and 350 pixels high. For the fastest upload it is recommended that your images are 72 dpi.

Once you have added an image please edit the caption, which includes information such as title, date, medium and dimensions.

Next you will want to choose the categories that apply to your work. Please select only the categories that are applicable to the work represented.

Please add your bio/cv and artist statement. Click on "edit bio" and "edit statement." You will need to use some basic html commands to format your text. There is an easy to follow guide on simple html commands located beneath the box where you enter your text.

Once the images and text are uploaded please preview the “gallery” you just created by clicking "preview gallery" on the left of the screen. The preview gallery appears in a
”pop up” window so to go return to your page to continue to make changes just close the preview gallery window. Once complete, simply log out.

You will be notified via email once your work has been reviewed by the White Columns curatorial staff. Due to the volume of submissions we receive this process can take a while.
